So on Wednesday (May 27th) I enter the MTC (missionary training center) to begin my 18 month mission for my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, to serve in the Tahiti, Papeete mission. I will be in the MTC for 10-12 weeks where I will learn more about our wonderful gospel and learn the French and Tahitian language!
I couldn't be more excited or more scared to serve a mission, but I know with my sacrifice my family and friends will be extremely blessed! This gospel has made me happier than anything I've ever known (more than food and that's a big thing). I know that without a doubt if we are faithful and follow the Spirit we will always be lead in the right direction whether or not it's the direction we want to take. I'm so grateful I've been given the call to serve, and that I have the will to serve.
Doctrine & Covenants urges us to obtain the many attributes that Christ had in order for us to prepare to stand in the presence of our Heavenly Father again. I seriously can't wait to share this wonderful gospel and my testimony with the people of Tahiti!!!
With my weekly emails I send out I will have (probably) my mom post my emails on here with pictures I send back as well!
